Why "315"?

Camp315 gets its name from 1 Peter 3:15, which says “…In your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect...”

This verse centers the mission and vision for our ministry... 

Revere Christ as Lord...

• Above all, our hearts declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father! We are excited about and committed to sharing this truth with campers and staff.  

Always be prepared to give an answer...

• Our curricula are designed to equip staff and campers with tools to proclaim truth both at camp and when they get home.

The reason for the hope that you have...

• This world has a lot to offer, including a lot of darkness.  More than ever, people are looking for hope that breaks through the shadows.  Through your ministry, Camp315 hopes to empower your campers and staff to name the source of their hope - not temporary pleasures or world-defined successes, but the death and resurrection of Jesus that grant access to eternal life - and point others toward Him! 

Do this with gentleness and respect...

• We are so grateful for a God Who meets us where we are and we believe deeply in the ministry of the picnic bench, the climbing wall, the swimming pool, the craft table, the tack barn, and the campfire ring.  Too many things are scary, difficult, calculated, and heavy.  Spirit-led conversations don't have to be.
